RIO FLY LINES
COLDWATER FLY LINES
|
State of the art in flyline technology. The tip floats extremely high due to RIO's proprietary manufacturing process, yet gives a smooth light delivery of even the smallest dry fly. The weight forward taper features a slightly heavier load to activate the faster modern fly rod, yet the rear taper is long enough for roll casting. This line is the product of RIO's SlickShooter Process and incorporates a supple coldwater, super slick, self-lubricating, dirt resistant coating on a nylon multifilament core. This is the perfect line for wet or dry flyfishing. RIO has included a welded loop on the front end of the fly line to facilitate changing leaders. Price: $79.98 |

A unique taper designed for two different aspects of most fly casting: light presentation and extreme distance casting. Fly fishers using RIO's WindCutter fly line can make tip casts with just the tip of the rod for a very tight loop, yet for distance use the thick belly to load the butt section of modern graphite rods. The tip is one line size less and the belly one line size heavier than the nominal line size. The first thirty feet on all sizes is within the AFTMA perimeters for that line weight. The WindCutter was designed for windy conditions and bank feeders. Multifilament core, self lubricating coating. Price: $74.98 |

A high performance fly line designed to boost your distance casting. Created with big water flyfishers in mind, such as steelheaders and advanced casters, LongCast is also excellent as a general dry fly, nymph, and streamer fly line. Its positive taper provides a dynamic casting trajectory. The line's coating eliminates loop sag, thus aiding in casting tight loops while conserving line energy and reducing wind resistance. A super smooth self-lubricating coating reduces friction at the guides and the extra long head allows advanced casters to carry more line in the air. The result is tight loops and smooth shooting for long, controlled distance casts. Price: $74.98 |

Based on RIO's popular QuickShooter profile that will load the rod quickly without carrying a lot of line in the air. It is especially useful in float tube or drift boat fly fishing where a short, controlled backstroke is necessary. Float tube fly fishers find this line effective in eliminating ticking on the water during backcast. Has a coldwater coating on a multifilament braided core. This is also an excellent bass line. Price: $74.98 |
